The continuous center line features offset extensions that are siped to multiply the number of edges propelling you up the trail, and the rear siping on the shoulder knobs is angled for fast cornering on hard, slippery surfaces. For climbing, cornering, or careening down hill, no tire cooks like the Mezcal.

Mezcal XC Sport

Solid tire that rolls quite well on hard pack and pavement. Fair price and fast delivery.

Smooth and fast

Really pleased with these tires. They roll great over asphalt, dirt, gravel. And they are fast. Very happy with them.

They work

Grippy on the gritty hard-pack we have here. Was some work putting them on. Pinch flatted on a curb, but that was my incompetence. Overall, seem ok for what I wanted.

This is my second purchase of this tire. They perform well and are very durable. Also look great.

These are low end -- 27tpi -- Wire Bead Tires

I feel Vittoria used deceptive descriptions to sell me these tires, they arrived in a giant box because they aren't foldable. These are Wire Bead Tires with a low 27tpi carcasses.

Shipping was excellent.

Kept bugging me for a review and I haven’t even had a chance to mount them yet. Most reviews and website I read rated them pretty high, so I’m trusting that. Saving for a few more parts to put on and free time to install it all.

Out of Round

I mounted these and immediately noticed that both tires had significant flat spots. On smooth ground at higher speeds the bike noticeably shakes because of these defects.

Excellent tires

I've been riding Mezcals for 8 years and they never disappoint. I have 2.25, 2.35 and 2.60 in my arsenal. Just got the 2.1s for an older retro MTB. Love how they roll from pavement to trail with no loss in performance. Even ride these in snow (tho not recommended without experience). I also have Mazza, Martello and Barzo but the Mezcals are my favorite. Versatile enough for great summer singletrack fun.
