Rain or shine, the commute must go on, and the Revolution Tech’s grid-like tread multiplies contact edges for cornering and breaking traction while channeling water away from the tire’s contact patch. The tire also rolls more efficiently than slick tires in dry conditions, and it’s engineered for normal bikes and e-bikes alike.

Regardless of the weather, reflective sidewalls catch light with every rotation, also catching the eyes of motorists and pedestrians during low-light commutes. The Revolution Tech also packs maximum puncture resistance so sharp debris on city streets and thorns on country highways don’t interrupt your ride with a puncture.

Technology explained

The Graphene-infused compound boosts rolling efficiency on the center strip and predictable, reliable grip on the shoulders. Max-grip tread across the rolling surface increases traction under cornering or braking loads and channels water away from the tire’s contact patch. The durable, abrasion-resistant nylon casing is further reinforced with our burliest puncture-resistant breaker, the Solid Shield – fewer flats, fewer late arrivals.

Solid Commuter Tire

I put these on my hardtail MTB to ride around town and in the neighborhood with my kids so as to not destroy my knobby trail tires. They are great for this application. My only knock on them is that they are heavy tires. I imagine this is due to the puncture resistance, but I was surprised by just how heavy they are.

Revolution Tech review

First time using this tire - 700 x 28 and initial thoughts are that this tire is on the small size for a 28 width. (I’d get a 32 next time). Rolling resistance feels very low and that’s using pressures in the mid-50s (psi). Having not seen this tire in person before purchasing, I was very surprised to see how small and tight the siping is - the photo makes it look much more aggressive than what it actually is.

Great tire but ended up being smaller width then preferred for winter.

Great summer tire that I will use next summer bur a little too small for winter. Will order larger width next time

Good commuter

I swapped out the tires on my old mountain bike with these and they’ve been working great. Turned it into a good commuter in town. Good traction and smooth rolling. May be a little heavy, but it’s a good trade in my book - they have lots of tread and should be pretty puncture resistant.

Best hard surface tire I could find for an economically friendly price.
