The Randonneur Tech tire’s classic road-slick tread design maintains the rolling efficiency of performance-oriented tires in wet or dry conditions while channeling water and keeping the tire connected to the road.

Sharp debris and thorns are more likely to stick to the tire in wet conditions, creating more opportunities for flats, so the Randonneur Tech is engineered with our most extreme puncture protection.

Technology explained

The Graphene-infused compound boosts rolling efficiency on the center strip and predictable, reliable grip on the shoulders. The classic road tread pattern across the rolling surface further increases grip and channels water away from the tire’s contact patch. The durable, abrasion-resistant nylon casing is further reinforced with our burliest puncture-resistant breaker, the Solid Shield.

Pleasantly pleased with these tires.

I ride country roads that are mostly uneven, potholed, and chipseal end. Hilly to flat rides anywhere from 25 to 80 miles. The ride quality and comfort was surprisingly superior the others tires I had been riding. The road chatter has been reduced significantly. Smoothness over rough assault surprised me the most. My overall speed is a tad higher, and for me that’s very important when selecting tires that have above average puncture resistance.

Overall I’m pleasantly impressed with these tires and will purchase more when these ware out. This is only my impression, but I stand by it.

The best tires I have used. I feel like a goat with these tires, there’s nothing the tire won’t hold on to, it seems. It feels like less effort and more speed ever since I changed over to these. I carry heavy loads and sometimes pull a trailer, so I hope the longevity matches expectations. Easy enough to get the tires on.

Commuting Tire

I got the tech version to replace a new standard randonneur that had multiple flats in two weeks of use. This tire is tougher and stiffer than the standard version and has been holding back piercing objects without issue for two weeks. Seems to be a good tire for flat protection while commuting. Wish it was a bit less expensive.

more flexible and comfortable then the Rando classic, Will be doing a real test in April, a 1K tour in Brazil.
