The road touring tire for wet conditions

Though its tread design channels water away from the tire’s contact patch in wet conditions, the Randonneur also increases rolling efficiency and cornering confidence in dry conditions. Given its wet/dry versatility, the Randonneur is an ideal tire for commuting or touring in the temperamental shoulder seasons or climates that are prone to sudden storms.

Technology explained

The Graphene-infused compound boosts rolling efficiency on the center strip and predictable, reliable grip on the shoulders. The classic road tread pattern across the rolling surface further increases grip and channels water away from the tire’s contact patch, and a burly nylon casing helps prevent flats and extends the tire’s functional life.

Great Value Tires

The tires arrived in a timely fashion and in good shape. We will have to put Mr. Tuffies in them and/or slime. But other than that, they are good.

Might be difficult for some to install

I purchased a couple of these for my wife's ride. I went a bit wider (28 to 32) and, I hope, more robust in regards to puncture resistance. That appears to be the case. So, I am generally pleased. However, I don't often install wire rimmed tires. As a modest wrench, I've been limited to folding beads. That said, I struggled with these a bit. My concern would be changing a flat. Hopefully the tread will make that less of a problem. Appear to be well made tires.

First ride out noticed a gash

The flat came one or two miles into the first ride... I then noticed a gash perpendicular to the wheel path. I didn't even get one good ride. I've loved these in the past but this was ridiculous.
