I had great success with the 28c tires.
I mount the 28c tires and they measure 28mm width perfectly.
I mount the 26c tires and they measure 23mm width. Same rim. The 26c was also very hard to mount, the 28c was easy to mount.
Why such a drastic difference?
Ride, training and racing on these tubeless is great. No punctures. A little short on life. Great ride and traction.
I’ve been riding/racing since the early 80’s and have used Victoria tires and tubulars for most of that time. Going tubeless a few years back, these Corsa Next TLR’s are my first from Victoria. The Good is that they roll well and provide good road feedback and corner predictably at all speeds. The Bad is that I found them comparatively difficult to mount onto the rim. The Ugly is that one of tires (thus far…I purchased 5) would not hold air for more than a few hours and investigation indicated that the side wall had several tiny holes only visible when submerging the mounted wheel in a tube of water. This is quite unusual in my experience with Victoria but what is thus far more ugly is that Vittoria’s Customer Service has yet to respond to my complaints. There are lots of good tires on the market these days and poor customer service is unacceptable
