The reinforced XC racing tire for all conditions + mixed terrain

The surest way to win a race is get the holeshot and maintain a gap to the finish. The surest way to DNF is to cut the holeshot too close and shred a side wall. The reinforced Barzo XC Trail helps achieve the former and alleviate the latter, grinding watts into the trail and incorporating additional protection on the sidewall.

The alternating center knobs roll fast, and moto-style shoulder knobs bite hard while cornering. Siping throughout increases grip under lateral loads, helping to maintain speed across terrain of all types, and spacious knob placement cleans muck and loamy soil.

01

Graphene 4C Compound

Rubber, infused with Graphene in a graduated schedule of four compounds across the rolling strip and shoulders. Two stabilizing base compounds boost puncture resistance and create a foundation for climbing, braking, and cornering loads. The trail-side compounds reduce rolling resistance, boost traction, and get tacky on switchbacks and off-camber sections, wet or dry.

02

XC-Trail TLR Reinforced 120-TPI Casing

A reinforced racing casing, the XC-Trail TLR combines a durable, supple 120-TPI nylon construction with additional protection on the sidewalls. Responsiveness, muted chatter, and supple trail feel with a little extra anti-puncture insurance – when XC gets gnarly, the XC-Trail TLR goes off.

03

Trail Breaker

Additional shielding to reinforce the sidewalls against lateral rock hits, pernicious thorns, and random trail debris. The breakers are lightweight 120-TPI nylon, proving that heavy protection doesn’t have to be heavy on the scale.

Great XC front tire

Everything is relative. Coming from running Aspens, this tire has a great mix of traction and speed up front. Also forecasts very well so you can adjust for slippage. With the Aspens you don’t know you’re slipping until your face is in the dirt.

This tire is very supple and so running a bit more pressure than with other tires. It’s also the hardest tire I have ever tried to mount, even with an air compressor and straps it took quite a while.

Color fading

The black where the white lettering is placed is all faded to a hunter green. Seems like it is an old storage or sun damage

Great front tire

Have about 50 miles on this tire and love it. Very grippy yet fast. Extremely easy to mount.

A great all-around XC Tire!

The Barzo holds it own from down country to xc racing! Its a very predictable tire and does a great job on all soils. From the moon dust of Lake Tahoe to the kitty litter of Colorado its a great all around tire!

10/10 Dry 8/10 Wet

The Barzo is light, fast, and very grippy in the dry. No complaints for aggressive trail riding. It is not aggressive enough if you have many wet/slick roots on climbing sections. Other areas in the wet it does well. My climbing wet roots are minimal so I will stick with it.
