High-performance racing tire praised as "fastest on the market" with excellent puncture resistance and rolling resistance. Customers noted improved sealing over previous versions and buttery smooth ride quality. Some concerns about tires running narrower than advertised (measuring 1-3mm smaller) and mixed opinions on tan sidewall aesthetics.

  • Fastest tire on the market.
  • Excellent for Iron Man races, especially rolling resistance and puncture resistant
  • These setup really easily and are holding air nicely.

Narrow Tires

After mounting my Corsa Pro Speed tires on my 1988 TT bike, a modified Schwinn Prologue road bike, I noticed that the tires looked narrow. On the rear HED disc wheel with a 12.5 mm inner rim width, the 28 mm Corsa Pro measured 25 mm. When I had a 28mm Conti GP 4000 mounted on this rim, it measured 28mm. The front is mounted on a Mavic Ksyrium SL rim that has an 15 mm inner rim width, and the Corsa Pro has a width of 26.5 mm now.
Robert at tech support was great about getting on the phone with me and talked me through this issue saying that the cotton casing will stretch to increase the width about 1.8 mm and measure truer to form after a couple of hundred miles. I can report on this later. Unfortunately, I will only have 100 miles on these tires before my first event.
The only real problem I had was with a Vittoria rear TPU tube that puckered at the seam and looked ready to fail. I put a patch over the area to strengthen it, but the same issue reoccurred at the edge of the patch. I had to purchase a competitor’s tube to make me more confident about the tube not failing on a training ride or in a race.
With the new Vittoria Corsa Pro Speed tires on my bike, I posted my fastest training speed 3 days ago. Hopefully, this is real.

Speed at 14,000ft

Amazing tires, have used the 25mm ones and can’t wait to try these out on the Bob Cook Memorial hill climb ending at 14,000+ft!!

So far these have been great.

So far these have been great tires, the puncture resistance so far has been good enough for daily training and race usage. The speed and rolling resistance are noticeable improvements over Corsa Pro's. These are my go to tires from this point unless they begin to fail. Big improvement for my cycling needs.

Fast, great seal, much better than last version (G+ 2.0)

I had the last version of these tires (G+ 2.0 25) and these seem to be much more resilient. The G+’s would never seal well and required constant fiddling with the tubeless setup. These setup really easily and are holding air nicely. My G+’s also did not last long at all along the sidewalls and I attribute that to constantly losing air leaving the sidewall flexed. These new version also don’t pick up as much road debris, the G+s were almost sticky.

So Supple…Buttery Smooth

These tires are a step up from the previous Corsa Speed version. However, they seem to run a bit small so when a 26 would previously “fill up” my rim and distance to the bike frame a 28 is now needed. To be clear, I prefer this as it allows for a bigger tire with the lower weight of the smaller sized one.

Hope They’re As Fast As They Claim!

Have not had a chance to race on them yet but they look fast! The 26mm actually measured 25.1 when mounted on my Hunt 65, and the 28mm measured 27.1 when mounted on my rear Hunt disc. Installation was a bit more difficult than other brands, but I was still able to mount and remove them barehanded without resorting to tire levers, which is always a plus. Lastly, would have preferred an all-black sidewall if given a choice.

Why tan wall?

This would be so much better offered in black wall. No on likes the look of tan walls.
