Before you start - Important safety information

The TPU Ultralight Speed inner tube features a plastic valve. The TPU Ultralight Speed inner tube features a plastic valve. Do not use electric compressors, as the heat they produce may damage the valve. Read and follow the instructions printed on the packaging before installation.

What You'll Need

Tick off your products and tools as you prepare them.

☐ 1 × Vittoria Veloce BMX tyre

☐ 1 × Vittoria TPU Ultralight Speed Inner Tube

☐ 1 × compatible wheel and rim

☐ Undamaged Rim Tape

☐ 1 × hand pump or floor pump
(Do not use an electric compressor)

☐ Vittoria Universal Levers

01 Check the valve warning

The TPU Ultralight Speed inner tube has a plastic valve. Do not use electric compressors, as the heat produced may damage the valve.

02 Read the packaging instructions

Follow the instructions printed on the product packaging before installation.

03 Pre-inflate the inner tube

Use a hand pump or floor pump to inflate the TPU inner tube to a maximum of 0.2 bar (3 PSI), just enough to give it shape.

04 Check the rim tape

Make sure the rim tape is correctly installed and shows no damage.

05 Mount the first tire bead

Install the first bead of the tire onto the rim.

06 Position the valve and inner tube

Insert the valve into the rim hole. Place the inner tube inside the tire, starting at the valve and working all the way around.

07 Mount the second tire bead

Install the second side of the tire by hand, working gradually around the rim.

08 Avoid pinching and twisting

Check that the inner tube is not trapped between the tire bead and rim edge and that no twists have formed. Use Vittoria Universal Levers if necessary (shown at approximately 01:43).

09 Inflate and seat the tire

Inflate the tire to the required pressure so that it seats completely. Follow the applicable tire and rim pressure limits.

10 Wait 24 hours before the first ride

Allow 24 hours before using the wheel, as the TPU requires conditioning time. Recheck the pressure and adjust it to your riding pressure if necessary (approximately 02:12).
