Customers praised these latex tubes for "supple ride quality" and reduced rolling resistance comparable to tubeless. Many reported excellent puncture resistance over extended use. However, significant drawbacks include rapid pressure loss requiring inflation before every ride, valve stem failures at the tube interface, and occasional manufacturing defects causing bulges or leaks upon inflation.

  • Light, as fast tubeless, and have a sublime ride quality that rivals tubeless without the hassles
  • Low rolling resistance, less flats, supple ride and NO tubeless mess!
  • I think I can actually feel the difference from butyl tubes. No punctures in 18 months so far

Latex review

I think the latex innertube’s are great all around I would just like to see them come in different size valve stems for faster easier transitions and the sells probably most definitely go up

Poor

Tube had a weak spot; when I inflated it, a bulge appeared and it wasn’t safe to put on the wheel.

Ok, but they loose pressure too quickly

I like these tubes, but they loose pressure quickly. I was using Continental standard tubes before, and they are way more stable. With these every 2-3 days, you loose 1/3 of the pressure. It makes me a bit nervous , what will happen in long rides ? And I am 100% sure they are mounted correctly.

Good But Could Be Better

I’ve been running Vittoria latex tubes for several years now with good to mixed results; the advantages are reduced rolling resistance and ride feel, which I can verify is supple. Another benefit not many discuss is puncture resistance. With butyl tubes, I seem to have had a flat a couple of times a year, but with latex I’ve never suffered a puncture flat on the road. There are, however, a few drawbacks to these tubes: First, you have to add air before every ride due to latex’s porous nature. That’s not an issue, because what serious cyclist doesn’t air up prior to every ride? Next, especially when mounting with tighter tires (like Vittoria Corsa Pros), they seem especially vulnerable to pinch flats. I’m only about 70% successful in mounting tires with latex tubes while avoiding pinch flats. But the biggest drawback is the valve/tube interface. I don’t know if it’s the repeated stress of taking valves on and off to air up, or just time in general, but Vittoria latex tubes tend to eventually fail right at the black seal that joins the tube and valve, leading to a leak that necessitates replacing the tube. I’ve tried patching that area, with limited success. Given the stress that mounting these tubes and newer tires entail, I wish Vittoria would beef up that juncture, then I’d be much more satisfied with my overall experience.

would be 5⭐️ but…

1 had a weak spot or something. It lasted one ride. 🙁

Light, supple and fast

These are Goldilocks tubes. They’re light, as fast tubeless, and have a sublime ride quality that rivals tubeless without the hassles. I can change tires without a mess, and don’t have to worry about refreshing anything every few months.

Very lightweight

Very lightweight, feel like you are on tubeless or better , careful mounting them, low side is they are very expensive

First Use of Latex Tubes

I bought 700 x 19/23C tubes even though Vittoria tire was 24C. Glad they stretched. I've never used latex tubes before. These were very high quality and performed well. I was surprised to find that they lose pressure faster than my old butyl rubber tubes. Never while riding. Only over night. GS

I think I can actually feel the difference from butyle tubes. No punctures in 18 months so far with my first set.

Delaminating valve stem

First ride was great. Second ride the tire started leaking and couldn't be pumped up. Removed tube and the black rubber seal between valve stem and latex tube is lifting off the tube.

Latex Tubes

They do enhance road feel. But it is inconvenient pumping them up every ride.

Preferred to sealant

The only improvement for me would be if they held pressure longer, but I don't think that's in the cards

Great Ride

I believe if it ain't broke don't fix it and the ride quality and rolling resistance/speed I get from these tubes paired with a high performance clincher flat out works for me. All of my rims are set up for tubeless and I have nothing against those who use it but for me it's a solution to a problem I don't have.

Damaged tubes

I ordered three and two tubes had air leaks on the seam near the valve stems. Went back to TPU because of this!

Competition Latex inner tube

Love the latex inner tubes. The work and feel great on my track bike. Can not wait to get them on the velodrome.

Also I am not Taylor. I believe you have mixup with the names.
